The teaching team of the middle school curriculum consist of Chinese and expatriate teachers. As a distinctive feature of a bilingual school, the Chinese and expatriate teachers of the same subject form a teaching and research group to explore the connection and integration of course teaching.

All the Chinese teachers are excellent, come from renowned public and private schools in Shanghai, and are mainly responsible for the delivery of the national compulsory education curriculum. They not only have a solid academic foundation and rich teaching experience, but also can teach through lively activities and pay attention to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality. Currently, the proportion of the Chinese teachers with middle or senior qualification exceeds 70% of the staff.

The expatriate teachers make a huge impact on the school culture and solid academic and cooperative abilities. They are mainly responsible for the delivery of school-based English courses. Most of them come from the UK or received higher education and conducted teaching activities there, with IGCSE and A-Level teaching experience and CIE school teaching experience. They are all trained teachers, with an appropriate teaching qualification.
